Sydney launch for the first RP transport oriented development
Megaworld, the largest residential developer in the Philippines, holds a Sydney launch of its latest project, Manhattan Garden City, on Saturday, February 24, at Pinoy Sentral with Marivic Acosta, managing director of Megaworld International, as guest speaker.
This was announced by Cesar Bigornia (pictured), managing director of InvestRite, the Sydney-based company which will oversee marketing of the project in Australia.
Manhattan Garden City is the first transport-oriented development (TOD) in the Philippines. In major urban centers such as Singapore and Manhattan, TODs offer quick access to key destinations with their direct link to mass transportation systems. Megaworld is the first developer to replicate this concept locally.
A trend setting residential community, Manhattan Garden city will be integrated with the MRT-3 and LRT 2 mass transit systems at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon city. Megaworld has masterplanned the project to make it accessible to virtually the whole of Metro Manila through the elevated train systems.
The LRT-2 connects the east and west sides of Metro-Manila from Santolan Avenue in Pasig to Recto Avenue in Manila. The MRT-3 on the other hand, runs from North Avenue on Taft Avenue along EDSA in the south. Both systems meet at the Araneta Center in Cubao.
Comprising 20 buildings with more than 9,000 residential condominium units, Manhattan Garden City will rise on a five-hectare property owned by the Araneta Group at the 35-hectare Araneta Centre
A focal point of the project is a four story high garden walkway. Also a first in the Philippines, the park inspired walkway will interconnect all 20 buildings at the podium level. This will connect Manhattan Garden City dwellers to the shops, offices, restaurants and entertainment centers at the Araneta Center so they can live, play, shop and more like never before.
The public is invited to the project launch at 5pm. PInoy Sentral is located at 3 Good Street, Granville. Light dinner will be provided.
